Meet Sheila Yeats
Sheila Yeats is a registered physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO). She has been a member of the Motion Works Physiotherapy team since 1998. She has an extensive background in treatment and rehabilitation of orthopedic and sports injuries from a career spanning over 3 decades.
She has completed training with advanced skills in Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy. She has vast post-graduate qualifications with training in many techniques including acupuncture, Trigger Point Dry Needling, Vestibular Rehabilitation and active exercise-based therapy, neuro-motor movement training techniques as well as management of sports injuries.
Sheila has a broad range of experience in diverse settings from Quebec to New Zealand, British Columbia, and back to Ontario. Her primary area of interest is a private practice, treating orthopedic and sports injuries as well as rehabilitation pre and post-surgery. Sheila is a caring professional who feels privileged to use her professional skills to help the many patients who are seeking to maintain a healthy and independent, active lifestyle.
Sheila has been actively involved in the local community as a long-time volunteer including work with children and adolescent sports teams. She is committed to helping her patients achieve a full recovery and return to the activities that are important to them. She enjoys an active lifestyle with an interest in many outdoor activities as well as the arts. Her interests include hiking, cycling, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, and snowshoeing combined with spending time at her home in the Laurentians. She has a love of music and plays the French horn in a local community concert band.
